TREATMENT OF KELOID SCARS BY HARDWARE IN THE THICKNESS OF THE KELOID SCAR CRYODESTRUCTION

Abstract

Developed and put into practice the method of treatment of keloid scars with in the thickness of cryodestruction liquid nitrogen cryogenic system with inlet type «Cry-Ac Tracker» (Brymill, USA). Under observation were 68 patients aged 8 to 56 years with keloid scars of different localization and duration of disease from 5 months to 4 years. All patients who received documented treatment achieved a reduction of scar tissue in 97% of cases. During the observation period (from 1 to 3 years) recurrence of keloid scars in patients who receive treatment was not recorded. Side effects associated with the proposed method of treatment none of the patients was noted. These results clearly demontstrate the high efficiency of the proposed method of treatment of keloid scars. In this proposed method is simple to use, affordable, high-profile security and the possibility of applying the method on an outpatient basis, which contributes to widespread adoption of this method of treatment in clinical practice dermatologist.
