Abstract

The aim was to determine the level of nitric oxide production in patients with latent syphilis and to assess the influence of metabolic therapy with cardonat on endothelial function. It was revealed that the development of latent syphilis is accompanied by an increase in the level of NO production. The high content of nitric oxide metabolites in blood of patients with latent syphilis indicates the presence of the systemic endothelial dysfunction. Administration of cardonat in the complex treatment of latent syphilis effectively eliminates the signs of endothelial damage.
