Abstract

Interferon inhibits intracellular multiplication of Chlamydia trachomatis. Inductors of the interferon may be administered simultaneously with antibiotics at treatment of chlamydiosis. On the basis of literature review a powerful immunomodulating activity of Kagocel – new inductor of endogens interferon was established. 75 patients with chronic chlamydiosis which earlier repeatedly unsuccessfully were treated by various antibiotics were included in research. Were generated the basic group (52 patients) and group of comparison (23 patients). Kagocel was administered to 26 patients (2 tablets 3 times per day within 5 days). All patients had been receiving azithromycin (zithromax) 0.5 g per 2 days for 15 days. In the basic group the clinical effect was observed in 50 (96,2 ± 1,9 %) patients. Microbiological effect – in all 100 % patients. In group of comparison the clinical and microbiological effect was, correspondingly, 21 (91,3 ± 5,9 %) and 22 (95,7 ± 4,3 %). The inclusion of Kagocel – new inductor of endogens interferon in a treatment of chronic Chlamydia trachomatis infection is reasonable from the clinical and microbiological point of view and susceptibility of the treatment
