Barotherapy for Dermatoses
Abstract
The article examines hyperbaric oxygenation as a treatment method for dermatoses in 30 male coal miners aged 22–50 years with the intertriginous form of foot epidermophytosis. The patients were divided into three groups: those exposed to a mine accident involving a methane explosion and carbon monoxide poisoning who received standard treatment, those who received standard treatment combined with hyperbaric therapy, and those not exposed to the accident factors. Allergids, pruritus, and disturbances of psychophysiological status were observed in the first two groups; their frequency was lower in the group receiving hyperbaric therapy, although psychophysiological disturbances did not normalize completely.Downloads
