Indicators of the Cellular Component of Systemic Immunity in Patients with Pyoderma
Abstract
The study aimed to determine parameters of the cellular component of systemic immunity in 23 patients with pyoderma and different clinical courses. Patients with staphyloderma or streptoderma, including superficial and deep, acute, subacute, and chronic forms, were examined; T lymphocytes were assessed by CD3+, T helper cells by CD4+, T suppressor cells by CD8+, and B lymphocytes by CD22+ markers. Reduced numbers of T lymphocytes and T helpers were found, most markedly in deep and chronic forms, whereas B lymphocytes increased in acute pyoderma. The findings indicate activation of immunity in acute forms and exhaustion of the T-cell component with development of a secondary immunodeficiency state in deep and chronic disease.Downloads
