Study of the Immunohistochemical Characteristics of the Skin of Patients with Psoriasis and Correction of the Identified Disorders
Abstract
The study examined pathogenetic mechanisms of psoriasis, immunohistochemical characteristics, and the morphofunctional state of the skin, while also assessing the effectiveness of pathogenetic therapy. A total of 126 patients were divided into main and control groups; disease severity and lesion extent were assessed using the PASI index, and histological, histochemical, and immunomorphological examinations were performed, including typing of collagen I, III, IV, and V. After complex treatment with Glutoxim, changes in the expression of cell-cycle proteins, normalization of histological abnormalities, and a shorter hospital stay were observed; skin samples also showed foci of collagen I and III destruction and an almost complete absence of collagen V.Downloads
