Modern Methods of Secondary Prevention in Patients with Localized Scleroderma and Chronic Discoid Lupus Erythematosus
Abstract
The study aimed to develop methods of secondary prevention of relapses in patients with localized scleroderma and chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus. The study included 82 patients with localized scleroderma and 50 with chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus; the efficacy of the developed regimens was compared with traditional preventive therapy over five years. Adding actovegin and topical treatment reduced the severity of exacerbations and prolonged clinical remission to 8.5 months in localized scleroderma and 7.5 months in chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus.Downloads
