On the Problem of Allergization in Superficial Mycoses and Pyoderma
Abstract
The article examines sensitization in superficial skin mycoses and chronic recurrent pyoderma, associated with sensitization to fungi or their antigens. It describes exogenous and endogenous factors contributing to the development of mycoallergids and outlines the progression of allergic eruptions from local lesions to involvement of the entire skin. The observations included 75 patients with cutaneous candidiasis, epidermophytosis, or erythrasma and 20 patients with chronic recurrent pyoderma. Mycoallergids in superficial mycoses were characterized by symmetrical distribution and polymorphism, while microbial eczema developed in 10 patients with pyoderma around macerated skin of the lower legs.Downloads
