Abstract

The article considers excessive dryness of the foot skin as one of the factors predisposing to foot mycoses. It describes the properties of Balsamed Intensiv and Balsamed Basal balms, whose keratolytic effect is provided by urea and, in Balsamed Basal, enhanced by the combination of urea with lactic acid. The preparations are described as protecting the skin from excessive dryness, hyperkeratotic layers, and fissures, supporting the healing of cracks, and suitable for preventing the development of foot mycoses.
