Clinical Features of the Development of the Koebner Phenomenon in Dermatoses
Abstract
The article examines the clinical features of the Koebner phenomenon in psoriasis, an isomorphic reaction that may also occur in other dermatoses. The observations included 50 patients with psoriasis who developed this phenomenon. Scratching associated with pruritus was the most frequent precipitating factor (70%); less often, the reaction followed minor trauma (14%) or drug injections (12%). Psoriatic plaques most commonly appeared one week after trauma, occurring in 68.8% of patients in whom the cause of the isomorphic reaction was established.Downloads
