Efficacy of Using the Therapeutic Factors of the Local Balneological Resort “Chorni Vody” (Crimea) in the Treatment of Trophic Ulcers
Abstract
The article addresses the treatment of lower-extremity trophic ulcers complicated by chronic venous insufficiency and substantiates the search for non-drug therapeutic approaches. Twenty-five patients were observed, and the effects of weakly mineralized hydrogen sulfide–methane sulfide baths at the Chornye Vody resort were studied with regard to ulcer-area microflora, cytological composition, and the rate of reparative processes. The baths were found to increase tissue oxygen partial pressure, improve venous outflow, reduce peripheral vascular resistance, and activate macrophage and fibroblast reactions, thereby accelerating reparative processes.Downloads
