Pathology of the Hepatobiliary and Endocrine Systems in Patients with Lichen Planus
Abstract
The article examines concomitant gastrointestinal and endocrine pathology in 56 patients with lichen planus presenting with various clinical forms. Combined somatic pathology was identified in 53 patients, predominantly involving the gastrointestinal tract and endocrine system; the most frequent conditions were chronic cholecystitis, biliary tract dyskinesia, chronic gastroduodenitis, chronic hepatitis, obesity, and impaired carbohydrate tolerance. The greatest variety of gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders was observed in patients with atypical forms of the dermatosis, with predominance of hepatobiliary pathology, obesity, and disturbances of carbohydrate metabolism.Downloads
