Efficacy of Ornidazole Use in the Comprehensive Treatment of Patients with Urticaria and Concomitant Giardiasis

Abstract

The study assessed the efficacy of ornidazole as part of complex treatment for patients with urticaria and concomitant giardiasis. The observation included 59 patients aged 10–70 years, divided into three groups: standard ornidazole therapy, ornidazole combined with Polysorb, and a chronotherapy-based ornidazole regimen supplemented with Allochol and Hilak drops. The highest rate of clinical recovery was achieved in the third group, reaching 88.5%; after five months, clinical remission persisted in 71.8% of patients who received ornidazole as part of complex treatment.
